The Hennick Centre for Business and Law is proud to announce an innovative partnership with the Canadian Foundation for the Advancement of Investor Rights (FAIR). The national voice for investors on securities regulation and a catalyst for enhancement of the rights of Canadian shareholders and retail investors, FAIR draws together the expertise of business and law scholars in Osgoode Hall Law School and the Schulich School of Business. The independent, national non-profit agency is affiliated with Osgoode and the Hennick Centre.
The partnership included the launch in Spring 2009 of an Advanced Seminar on Investor Protection for senior-year JD students and financial journalists interested in learning through collaborative exercises, case studies and workshops. Read more about the seminar and stay tuned for registration details for the Winter 2015 semester.
In February 2011, FAIR and the Hennick Centre jointly presented a roundtable session focused on the “fiduciary” standard debate, in the context of the duty owed by financial professionals to their clients. Click here for the program brochure.
