LawWithoutWalls Program

Applications for LawWithoutWalls 2021 open Oct/Nov 2020

The Hennick Centre for Business and Law offers upper year Osgoode-Schulich JD/MBA students the opportunity to participate in LawWithoutWalls, a groundbreaking international academic program organized by the University of Miami School of Law. Students work with students and faculty from leading law and business schools from around the world to conduct guided, collaborative research on a current problem in legal education or practice.

The Centre conducts an LWOW Advertising Campaign at Osgoode in October/November of every Fall term, followed by the opening of the application process and final selection of successful candidates by the LawWithoutWalls selection committee in November/December.

LWOW is a part-virtual experiential learning initiative that leverages inter-generational, cross-cultural, multi-disciplinary exchange to change the mindsets, skill-sets, and behaviors of practicing and aspiring legal professionals.  Given the needs of the new global, complex multi-disciplinary marketplace, successful legal professionals must be creative problem solvers, leaders with a high risk tolerance and business mindset that can use technology, collaboration, leadership, and communication skills to overcome the walls of law.
